Seems very carefree and unconcerned about holding onto food or toys.

Edison lived with a cat previously and showed interest in chase, but no agression.
||No special requirements
||Already wearing a collar and used to it
Pulls strong on leash
Working on developing better skills on leash
Edison needs to work on his leash skills. His future family will probably want to use a tool other than a flat collar. We are using a transitional leash and making good progress.
|Being left alone?
||Needs to be contained to a small area
Needs to work on being left alone for longer periods
Edison can be left loose at night, but may chew objects if left alone during the day. He currently strongly resists going in his crate. We are working on developing a positive association with the crate through games and food.
||Solidly housebroken, will bark or pace or scratch door to go outside
Can hold it overnight
||Needs a fence 6 feet high
||Needs help to get into car but likes to ride
Seems unsure of getting into car
Very nervous, pants and whines
When Edison first rode in our car he struggled hard not to get in and was very nervous in the car. He is doing much better now and usually jumps right in and is mostly calm for the ride. He is much calmer in the car when my dog is along for the ride.
||Not bad, a little nervous
|Any additional comments regarding temperament that haven’t been covered by the questions above?
||Edison is an absolute gem and will be a fantastic family pet. He is all about his people and lives for snuggles and love. He is an exuberant teenager and needs guidance on manners and calm when out in the world, but if you are willing to put in the work he will be your best friend and companion.
