How does this animal behave around men? A little bit shy/scared of men
How does this animal behave around women? Loves women
How does this animal behave around children under 10 years old? Loves kids. Ken is wonderful with children and will safely share toys and play with them.
How does this animal behave around strange animals? Ken is curious to meet other dogs and is friendly with some, while stand-offish to others. An ideal meeting is one where he’s free to explore and meet on his own terms, without a barrier (e.g. a fence or pen).
DOGS: How does this dog behave around other dogs and high value food, treats or toys? Check all that apply: With other dogs, he can be easy-going, but can also guard his food and toys depending on his comfort level with the other dog. He can easily trained or re-directed with high-value items.
How does this animal behave around cats? Is not compatible with cats. Needs to be in a no-cat home. Shows a lot of interest and prey drive
Leash/Collar training? Already wearing a collar and used to it
Pulls a little on leash
Have only walked around yard and pulls some. Very attentive to direction changes and movements.
Housebreaking training? Crate trained
Solidly housebroken, will bark or pace or scratch door to go outside
Can hold it overnight even if not crated
Fences? Needs a fence 6 feet high
Car rides? Needs help to get into car but likes to ride
Nail trimming? No issues. Was great to groom!
Any additional comments regarding temperament that haven’t been covered by the questions above? Ken is very attentive and loving. Unsure of my husband but will sniff him. If we are on the couch he will snuggle me and let me pet him, if my husband starts to pet him he will look at him and then look away, but allow it.
He is a pup that will need an active family and a good hour walk twice a day. I think he would be a great agility dog. He is very smart and attentive to whomever is holding is leash.
He is a little jumpy around new experiences, but definitely interested.
Ken loves the pets from our kids and falls asleep when they read to him.

Kenny’s adoption fee is $495. Juan Juan and Kenny (both in Rescue Friend’s foster care) were siblings. They were rescued together with their mother and two other siblings. The family was in danger of being killed by the community in which they were found because many people, out of a fear of dogs and especially protective mothers, will either kill a stray mother and pups themselves, or will call police to do so. World of Angels Foundation learned about their situation, and rushed to take in the family.
