Tony is a puppy mill survivor. He spent his entire life living in a cage in filthy conditions. There was a fire and the buildings burned down, Tony was lucky enough to escape. He spent the next couple weeks running from predators on the prairies and avoiding rescue while fending for himself until he was humanely trapped and brought into care. He has had a traumatic past so he is shy and takes a while to warm up to new people. He needs a patient home as he can be hesitant at times and needs help building confidence but he is slowly learning to trust. His adoptive family will need help to coach him through these issues while loving him anyway. His current foster family has other dogs and cats-which he is great with both. He does well on leash and car rides. Recommended for children 14+
Tony has a heart murmur that is being monitored but may require medication in the future to manage it.
