🌟 Meet Willow 🌟

Willow is a beautiful dilute calico with a gentle soul and a playful spirit. After her owner sadly passed away, Willow joined Rescue Friends along with her companion Sadie. Since then, she has been thriving in her foster home and showing her loving personality.

Willow and Sadie were inseparable when they first came to Rescue Friends, but since transferring to her current foster home, Willow and Sadie have become much more independent and find separate snoozing stations throughout the day. Given that these beautiful girls have been in our care since April 2024 and seem to be less dependent on one another, we feel they are candidates to also be adopted separately.

A Little About Willow

• Breed: Domestic long/med hair
• Age: Approximately 3.5 years old
• Health: Spayed and in great health. Willow had a few teeth removed when she first arrived but is otherwise healthy.
• Energy Level: Moderately active with bursts of playful energy.
• Personality: Quiet, playful, gentle, and curious. Willow observes before engaging and loves lounging in sunspots or her favorite reusable shopping bag.
• Adoption Fee: $100
• ADOPTION REQUIREMENT: Must be adopted into a home with another cat for companionship

Ideal Home for Willow

• Companion Animals: Willow has lived with other cats and a small, cat-friendly dog. She prefers to observe new pets first but warms up quickly when they are kind and respectful.
• People: Willow is fine with men, women, and children who are gentle and patient. She thrives in a calm and loving environment.
• Environment: Willow enjoys a mix of playtime and quiet lounging. She’s an independent cat but also loves interacting with her people and observing the world from her cat tree.

What Willow Loves

• Watching Birds: Her favorite pastime is watching birds at the feeder.
• Playtime: She enjoys playing with feather wands and her reusable Dollarama bag.
• Affection: Willow has a deep, rumbling purr and adores gentle scritches and cuddles.

Behavior Around Others

• Dogs: Cautious at first but comfortable around cat-friendly dogs.
• Cats: Respects other cats and enjoys their companionship. She has lived with Sadie and other cats previously.
• People: Observes and takes her time to trust, but once she feels safe, she is affectionate and engaging.

Additional Details

• Diet: Willow is on a quest to lose a little weight through a healthy diet and moderate activity.
• Training: Litter-trained and comfortable wearing a collar.
• Car Rides: Needs to be in a crate for safe travel.
• Nail Trimming: Not her favorite activity, but she will allow it with treats.
