From the foster: Hello there my name is Zayne and I am a snuggle bug…I will wiggle may way into your lap as fast as you will let me…and soo cute!

I am a smart, happy, high energy boy who loves playing fetch and I am slowly trying to learning to feel safe going little walks, but oh how I love snuggles, and Treats and my bath was just no big deal at all!….. I didn’t have a great start to life so I am still learning my house manners and I am so smart…..in just a week I am almost house trained already,  I learned to sit, wait-ish, come when called, and to give what I have when asked.… I am practicing hard every day and foster mom says this will help me find my very own loving furever home! And best of all foster mom is amazed how I sleep through the night and go straight out to do my business in the morning….she says I am a really good boy!

I will likely need a special sort of furever home that knows Spaniels and its a hard no on kids as I can be fearful and a bit nippy if startled by a new face unexpectedly (dog or people). I would love a secure yard for my zoomies for sure and someone able to work with me on boundaries and manners in a kind consistent way … someone who will give me lots of exercise and mental stimulation to satisfy my high energy needs. !  I would be an amazing agility dog I bet…I hear it’s so much fun! I do get along ok with my foster home dog but try to push my way in front sometimes…and I get along really well with my Spaniel buddy I came in with, Jethro. BTW we really like each other if you are hoping to have 2 handsome devils

I am smaller than you might think, only about 16 inches at the shoulder and weigh about 26 pounds.

I am still a bit scared from my past life so a home that can offer me patience, kindness and firm guidance is a must.
