She greets small dogs appropriately with proper introductions I wouldn’t recommend big dogs as she is too intimidated. She is not cat friendly.
|DOGS: How does this dog behave around other dogs and high value food, treats or toys? Check all that apply:
||As other dog approaches, this dog backs away from the food bowl.
Seems very carefree and unconcerned about holding onto food or toys when other dogs are around.

She is not cat friendly. Will not be adopted into a home with cats or small animals.
||Already wearing a collar and used to it. Needs coaxing when walking on a leash. She is scared of new surroundings and can be skittish. She will freeze and lay down. She will need more training and more work with leash walking outside.
||Housebroken, but doesn’t know how to tell you when needs to go outside
She has not made an accident in my home
||Needs a fence at least 5 feet high.
||Needs help to get into car but likes to ride
||Sophie is very sweet once you get to know her but takes time to warm up to new people as she is quite shy and timid. New experiences and environments are overwhelming so she would benefit from someone who is experienced and patient to help walk her through scary things and build her confidence. She requires an adult-only home- no small children, and no cats or small animals. She would do well with a small/medium dog (with intros), but large dogs are a bit too intimidating. The ideal home would be a single adult or couple who either work from home or are retired so they have lots of time to allow Sophie to be the cuddly lap dog she wants and to be doted on. She can be kenneled when not home but has shown some separation anxiety when not kept on schedule. Sophie has a tough life in Mexico before being rescued and coming to Canada. She is eagerly awaiting her safe and loving forever home.
