Profile Information | Sophie is very sweet once you get to know her but takes time to warm up to new people as she is quite shy and timid. New experiences and environments are overwhelming so she would benefit from someone who is experienced and patient to help walk her through scary things and build her confidence. She requires an adult-only home- no small children, and no cats or small animals. She would do well with a small/medium dog (with intros), but large dogs are a bit too intimidating. The ideal home would be a single adult or couple who either work from home or are retired so they have lots of time to allow Sophie to be the cuddly lap dog she wants and to be doted on. She can be kenneled when not home but has shown some separation anxiety when not kept on schedule. Sophie has a tough life in Mexico before being rescued and coming to Canada. She is eagerly awaiting her safe and loving forever home. |
